01Who you are agreeing with
This site is operated by Star Factor, a venture of Chainfren. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. Questions go to bolaji@chainfren.com.
02Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over to use this website or join the waitlist.
- You must be 21 or over to submit a casting application, and Lagos-based or able to relocate for a six-week residential shoot.
- You must give us information that is true. Applications built on false information get removed.
03The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means we will email you when Season 1 opens. That is all it is. It is not a booking, not a reservation, and not a contract to supply anything.
Announced early-signup perks are exactly that — announced. They are conditional on Season 1 actually launching, they may change, and they carry no cash value and no right to a cash alternative. If we change or withdraw one, we will say so on this site.
04Casting applications
- Applying does not mean you have been selected, shortlisted, or promised anything.
- We may decline any application without giving a reason.
- Selection is subject to a separate contract, background and eligibility checks, and medical and welfare screening. Nothing on this site is that contract.
- You keep ownership of the video you submit. You give us permission to view, store and share it internally for assessment. We will not publish it without asking you first.
- There is no fee to apply, ever. If anyone asks you to pay to be cast on Star Factor, it is not us.
05Timing, and what we are not promising
Season 1 is planned but not scheduled, and the date depends on funding, licensing and production readiness. Anything on this site about future features, formats, prizes or timing is a statement of intent, not a guarantee. Plans change and some of these plans will.
06Using the site properly
Don't:
- Submit other people's personal information as your own.
- Automate, scrape, flood or otherwise abuse the forms.
- Attempt to break, probe or interfere with the site or the accounts of others.
- Copy the brand, wordmark or content and present it as your own, or imply we endorse you.
We can suspend access and remove submissions where any of this happens.
07Our content
The Star Factor name, wordmark, star mark, design system and site content belong to us. You may link to the site freely. You may not reproduce the brand assets commercially without written permission.
08The site is provided as it is
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
09Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in full on the privacy page. If you are applying to be cast, read that one too — it is the one that matters most to you.
10Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top always shows when. Material changes to the waitlist or casting terms will be emailed to anyone affected. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
