01The line we hold
Star Factor is entertainment. A prediction should feel like the price of a night out, not like a way to make rent. Any version of this product that depends on a small number of people losing more than they can afford is a product we have built wrong, and we would rather know that early.
02Who can play
- 18 and over. Age is verified at signup and again before any withdrawal.
- One account per person. Accounts are not transferable and cannot be operated on someone else's behalf.
- Anyone connected to the production — cast, crew, staff, or their immediate households — cannot hold positions on that season's outcomes. That is a market-integrity rule as much as a welfare one.
03The controls we are building
Every one of these ships with real-money predictions, not in a later release:
- Deposit limits. Daily, weekly and per-season caps you set yourself. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising one takes 24 hours and cannot be undone in the moment.
- A visible running total. What you have staked, what you have won, and what you are net, for the season. Always visible, never buried behind a menu, never framed to make a loss look like a near-win.
- Cool-off. Pause your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days on one tap.
- Self-exclusion. Shut it down for six months or permanently. We will not re-open a permanent exclusion, and we will not market to you afterwards.
- Reality checks. A prompt during long sessions telling you how long you have been playing and what you are net.
- Withdrawals stay easy. Cashing out will never be slower or harder than depositing. That asymmetry is a standard dark pattern in this industry and it is not going in ours.
04What we will not do
- No credit. You can only stake money you already hold. We will never lend it to you, front it, or let you go negative.
- No loss-chasing prompts. We will never send you a notification because you just lost. No “win it back”, no bonus timed to a losing streak.
- No targeting people who are struggling. Heavy losses will never be used as a signal to market harder. Where our own data suggests someone is in trouble, the correct response is to intervene, not to upsell.
- No under-18 marketing. No channel, creator or format aimed at minors.
- No hiding the odds. Pool size, your position and the payout maths are visible before you commit, every time.
05Free play is always there
Clout is our free currency. You earn it by watching, showing up and taking part, and you can play the whole season on it without spending anything. Clout will never be something you can buy, and the free game will never be crippled to push you toward the paid one.
06If it stops being fun
Some honest questions. Are you predicting with money you needed for something else? Have you hidden how much you have staked from someone close to you? Are you playing to recover a loss rather than because you want to watch? Do you feel worse after playing than before?

07Licensing and oversight
Star Factor has not launched, and real-money predictions will not open until we have completed a legal review with Nigerian entertainment and gaming counsel and hold whatever licence applies. If that review says the product needs to change, the product changes. Prediction features can and will run on free currency alone until that is settled.
